Starting Salary Range: $22-24 DOE to start and if you have experience, we can negotiate higher. We are willing to train if you do not have payroll experience.

We are a rapidly growing business, focused on small to mid-sized service contractors, currently providing services to companies located in 42 states. With staff in Utah, Missouri, Texas, Florida and California, our teams provide compliance protection related to all levels of the Department of Labor, with a focus on the Wage and Hour Division (WHD) and the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA).
Our current opening is for a full-time Payroll Processing Associate based in our Wikiup office. This position involves supporting various ongoing office operations and communicating with existing or potential clients to collect & update company information as needed for payroll processing for either weekly, bi-weekly or semi-monthly payrolls. As a Payroll Processing Associate, you will be responding to incoming phone/email requests and communicating with several team members in all office locations.
Although experience related to payroll in the trades would be beneficial, it is not a requirement. This position is considered “entry level,” but there may be opportunity for growth and development within our company based upon an employee’s abilities and proven job skills. Training will be provided for this position.
Primary Job Responsibilities:
Work as part of a team to most effectively address our clients’ needs.
Effectively communicate in a clear and friendly manner with clients via telephone, email, mail, and in person.
Process payroll for several companies each week using one of our four payroll systems we offer to our clients.
Update employee info and enter new employees into the system, complete special reports, request certificates of insurance. Update and maintain client files.
General errands such as bank runs, post office, fed ex drop offs, and pick up supplies if requested.
Work with established technology systems and quickly adapt to newly implemented technologies including a variety of shared file systems and cloud-based prospect and customer management systems.
Assess incoming calls or emails to determine the best individuals to address a client’s needs.
Develop a solid understanding of compliance issues involved and our company procedures to best address client needs.
Quickly adapt to client needs, especially in conveying meaning of complex topics.
Position Requirements:
High School Diploma
Demonstrated Customer Service and Teamwork skills
Comfort communicating with clients via telephone, email, mail, and in person
Proficiency with all standard Microsoft Office and Adobe products such as Word, Outlook, and Acrobat
Strong knowledge of Excel is a must
Ability to write emails and other documents using proper grammar and sentence structure
Ability to prioritize incoming tasks
Comfort with learning complex topics and incorporating that information into assigned tasks
Willingness to accept and provide feedback in a constructive manner
Preferred Qualifications:
FPC certification
Experience with Microsoft Suite
Experience working with “the trades”
Knowledge of compensation and payroll practices
Associate degree
