Lieff Cabraser Heimann & Bernstein, LLP, a national leader in plaintiffs’ class action and multidistrict litigation, has an open position for a full-time and experienced word processor in our San Francisco office.
Ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years' experience in a law firm or legal department. Must have E-Filing experience and be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite 2010. Must be self-motivated and able to work quickly, accurately, under tight deadlines, and oftentimes in a demanding and challenging environment. Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills. The successful candidate will be flexible with their schedule when necessary, and enjoy working closely with attorneys. We offer a 3-day, 30-hour work week with full benefits. Shift hours will be from 8am to 6:30pm PT, Tue-Thu. Position is currently Hybrid (Onsite attendance required 2-days a week).
Skills required for this position:
Advanced skills in MS Office 2010 (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and ideally Visio and Publisher as well)
Familiarity with MacPac Templates and Macros
Prepare Tables of Contents (TOCs)
Mark Tables of Authorities manually (TOAs)
Create, edit, and format complex legal documents (pleadings for any and all states/courts)
Ability to research court requirements online
Knowledge of legal terminology and procedures
E-Filing experience a must (ECF, Pacer, and ideally a third-party service such as Lexis File & Serve)
Advanced Skill Level required in using Adobe Acrobat Pro X tools, including creating fillable forms and converting Adobe PDF documents to Microsoft Word
Transcription experience (both digital and analog)
FileSite (aka iManage) document management system experience
Time Entry experience a plus
Windows 7 experience
Typing 65 wpm
