Prime HOA Management is seeking a skilled community association manager to oversee a portfolio of HOAs in the Bay Area and Sacramento.
The Community Association Manager (CAM) manages and oversees the day-to-day operations of homeowner associations (HOAs). This role requires strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills. The CAM is the primary point of contact for homeowners, board members, and vendors, ensuring adherence to community policies, regulations, and budgets.
Key Responsibilities:
Property and Facility Management:
Oversee the maintenance and upkeep of common areas, amenities, and facilities.
Coordinate maintenance, landscaping, and repair schedules with vendors.
Conduct inspections of communities to ensure cleanliness, safety, and compliance.
Board Relations and Governance:
Act as a liaison between the board of directors and residents.
Assist the board in understanding and implementing community bylaws and policies.
Support the board with planning and executing community events and initiatives.
Financial Management and Budgeting:
Develop the community association’s annual budget.
Oversee A/P and A/R, ensuring timely collection of dues and assessment fees.
Work with financial professionals to provide annual reports and financial statements.
Homeowner and Resident Relations:
CAM will be the primary point of contact, addressing questions and complaints.
Coordinate orientation for new residents, ensuring they know community guidelines.
Organizing events, newsletters, and other communications fosters a sense of community.
Compliance and Risk Management:
Enforce community policies and rules and address violations in a consistent manner.
Maintain association records, ensuring compliance with state regulations.
Monitor and manage risk, including overseeing insurance policies and coordinating with legal professionals as needed.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Real Estate, or a similar degree.
Certified Manager of Community Associations (CMCA) or equivalent designation.
5+ years of experience in community management or property management.
Skills and Competencies:
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Financial acumen, including budgeting, expense management, and financial reporting.
High attention to detail regarding compliance, documentation, and records management.
Work Location: We would like this person to work in the office every day for six months, after which we can discuss a hybrid work schedule.
