Salary Range & Status:
Full-time (40 hrs per week), hourly position. Pay range is between $25-30/hour. Starting pay will be dependent on experience. Work Monday-Friday, possible over-time, and paid holidays. Health benefits and vacation pay are offered after probationary period.

We are a small but highly successful company which is looking for the right person to fill a key position in our organization. Our business is the importing and distribution of agricultural equipment and replacement parts throughout the USA. Our office and warehouse are located in the industrial zone outside the city of Sonoma.
Job Description:
The position is an important one within our company. This is a stand-alone position which works and reports directly to the owner of the company.
This is a real “hands-on” position…. The candidate must be able to work both inside the office and in the warehouse. The work includes assembly and minor repair of the equipment. The right person must be able to do a wide range of tasks (see further descriptions below). We are looking for a highly trustworthy, honest and self-motived person to complete our team. If we find the right person, in time, good advancement in pay is on the table.
We are looking for a person who knows what to do and can keep busy and be productive, even during slow times of the year. The best candidate would need to be highly self-motivated and self-reliant.
Education:
- High School diploma or equivalent; some college or vocational training preferred
- Forklift certification and training is a plus
Necessary Skills/Requirements:
- Regular and predictable attendance
- At least 21 years old
- Ability to kneel, squat, push, pull and/or stand for long periods of time
- Ability to lift and carry items and parcel which may weight up to 55 pounds
- General knowledge of both MS Word and Excel
- Working knowledge of QuickBooks software is a real plus
- Excellent customer service skills
- Valid CA Driver's license and a clean DMV record
- High level of motivation and pride in your work
- Can work safely and responsibly to avoid injuries, property damage and loss of materials
- Capacity to work in both a team environment as well as independently
- Ability to work above and beyond normal everyday tasks
Duties / Responsibilities:
Warehouse Work:
- Basic hand tool and shop knowledge…. Experience in repair and maintenance of agricultural equipment is a real plus
- Assist in unloading of arriving sea containers of equipment and materials
- Move pallets and equipment in warehouse using a forklift and/or pallet jack
- Un-package and assemble incoming machines and perform a standardized PDI (pre-delivery inspection) on all whole goods. Arriving equipment requires some minor to moderate assembly
- Review and double-check incoming shipment of parts against PO for accuracy in count and correct items received
- Must report any damaged or incorrect items received to owner/manager
- Need to have a good working knowledge of part numbers, equipment drawings and parts usage
- Correctly label parts and re-package (if necessary) before placing into inventory stock
- Place all items in respective bins and on inventory shelves. Responsible for all inventory being organized and placed in appropriate locations.
- Accurately pick, check, and package all outgoing sales orders
- Interact and assist customers who come to our warehouse in search of service parts for our equipment
- Exhibit professional appearance and conduct in dealing with customers
- Responsible for keeping an adequate supply of packaging materials on hand at all times
- Maintain the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition, follow prescribed safety regulations
- Each day is different. You will be required to think and adapt to any changes that come along in the work load.
- Required to make some delivery of parts and equipment to our dealers using company pick up
- Applicant must be a detail-oriented person
Office / Computer Work:
- Download new sales orders from company on-line portal and process them into sales order / pick reports
- Create invoicing and process shipping orders using QuickBooks
- Determine packaging and labeling requirements for each shipment.
- Create shipping Bills of Lading for LTL shipments and contact trucking firm to arrange for pick up
- Excellent communication skills
- Answer telephones, direct calls, and take messages
- Utilize MS Word and Excel to analyze inventory stock levels and re-order points
- Analyzes product demand and supply projections; develop and report inventory forecasting needs
- Keep office / workstation neat and well organized
Other Skills
- Bilingual in English/Spanish would be a plus
