NASA Ames Exchange is seeking a part time retail associate.
Hourly Rate $20.00
Store Hours: 10:00AM-5:00PM Tuesday through Saturday
Must be flexible and willing to work Saturdays
What you’ll do:
Perform regular inventory cycle counting
Understand and abide by safety protocols
Regularly lift and or move items up to 40 lbs
Occasionally team lift and/or move items more than 40 lbs. with the help of other employees
Assures proper pricing on merchandise
Restock merchandise
Receive inbound inventory, tagging, and merchandising product
Fulfill online orders
Manage Inventory
Create labels and process shipments
Operate a cash register, and POS system
Maintain clean and organized work environment
Exceed customer expectations
What you bring to the table:
High School diploma or equivalent
Proactive mindset and ability work with minimum supervision
Demonstrated time management, organizational and multi-tasking skills
Excellent communication skills
Flexibility: willingness to perform related duties as required
Basic computer skills, and basic data entry (data entry very minimal overall) is a plus
Ability to perform simple arithmetic, manage cash drawer
Ability to effectively maneuver around sales floor and stockroom, repetitive bending, prolonged standing, twisting, stooping, squatting, and climbing
The NASA Ames Exchange is on a federal government facility. U.S. Citizenship is required. A background investigation will be carried out. No felony convictions or open investigations are allowed.
The minimum age is 18.
