Job Description:
Pizzeria Delfina is seeking a dependable and experienced Route Driver to join our team on a part-time basis. As a Route Driver, you will be responsible for efficiently delivering our freshly made pizzas to various grocery stores and retail locations. Additionally, you will handle invoicing tasks. This role is suitable for both experienced route drivers and individuals with entry-level invoicing skills.
Key Responsibilities:
Safely and efficiently operate company vehicles to deliver pizzas to designated retail locations, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations.
Plan and execute delivery routes most efficiently to ensure timely deliveries and maximize productivity.
Load and unload pizzas and other related items from the delivery vehicle, ensuring proper handling to maintain product quality.
Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including mileage logs, delivery times, and any discrepancies encountered during deliveries.
Provide excellent customer service by interacting professionally with store personnel and addressing any delivery-related inquiries or concerns.
Perform routine vehicle maintenance checks and report any mechanical issues or maintenance needs to the appropriate department.
Assist with invoicing tasks, including generating invoices, verifying the accuracy of billing information, and reconciling delivery records with invoices.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
Proven experience as a route driver or delivery driver, preferably in the food industry.
Familiarity with local roads and routes, with a strong sense of direction and excellent navigation skills.
Ability to lift and carry heavy items, as well as load and unload delivery vehicles.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills, particularly in maintaining accurate delivery records and invoices.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact professionally with customers and coworkers.
Basic computer skills and proficiency in using invoicing software or the willingness to learn.
Flexibility to work Monday-Thursday, 7:00 am - 1:00 pm, totaling 25-30 hours per week.
