Fast growing luxury home furnishings company seeking a part-time stock associate for our Corte Madera Town Center store for the holiday season. We are seeking an intelligent and positive-thinking individual for a position in our Operations Department. This position can accommodate as few as 2 days a week and as many as 5 days a week.
Job Responsibilities:
- Receiving inbound shipments, checking in and stocking product in an accurate and orderly manner.
- Maintain stock levels and neatness in the store and maintain an organized receiving area.
- Perform deliveries to our other Bay Area stores and local customers in the company van.
- Process damage claims with vendors
- Assist with floor merchandise moves
- Work closely with shipping manager and sales team
- Keep stockrooms organized and clean
Requirements and Qualifications:
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work efficiently.
- Computer literate w/ common office applications, experience with a POS system is a plus. Must be able to learn our POS for looking up products, checking quantities, and emailing vendors regarding damages and discrepancies.
- Ability to work independently on assigned tasks and accept direction on given assignments
- Ability to work in a cooperative manner as part of a team.
- Maintain regular consistent and professional attendance, punctuality, and personal appearance
- Prior experience in shipping and receiving
- Prior experience in a retail work environment preferred.
Physical Requirements:
- Walk or stand up to 8 hours per day
- Must be able to lift and push/pull 75 pounds.
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs. repetitively.
- Vertical and horizontal reaching is required
- Must be able to climb a ladder and hang pictures and other items on a wall
- All mobility motions are required (standing, walking, sitting, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, and climbing)
