We are looking for a proficient and experienced Network Administrator to join our internal Information Technology (IT) team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and maintaining our network infrastructure, providing technical support, and ensuring the reliability and security of our network systems. The ideal candidate should have a CompTIA certification and a solid understanding of Active Directory, Office 365, and various networking technologies.
This FT, 40 hours per week position will be in-office presence in our Los Gatos/ Summit facility.
Responsibilities:
Network Administration:
Oversee and maintain network infrastructure, including MikroTik routers, switches and firewalls.
Diagnose and resolve network connectivity and performance issues.
Configure and manage DHCP, DNS, and routing protocols to ensure optimal network performance.
Active Directory and Office 365 Management:
Administer Active Directory/O365, including user and group management, and enforce group policy configurations.
Manage Microsoft SQL, Conditional Access policies, and Azure networking components to support secure access.
Monitoring and Alert Response:
Continuously monitor network performance using tools like Zabbix, responding promptly to infrastructure alerts.
Implement proactive measures to prevent network downtime and ensure system reliability.
Documentation and Change Management:
Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation, including detailed network diagrams and change requests.
Track and manage issue logs related to network modifications and updates.
Email Administration:
Handle basic email administration tasks, including the management of inbound and outbound mailbox configurations.
Backup Administration:
Make sure all servers are backup regularly and tested, reporting each week on backup testing and monitoring.
Qualifications:
Education & Certification:
Bachelor's degree in information technology, Computer Science, or a related field is preferred.
Some Linux knowledge is preferred.
Microsoft Certifications are preferred.
Experience:
A minimum of 3+ years of experience in IT infrastructure administration, with a focus on network management.
Proficiency in networking technologies, including MikroTik routers, and switches.
Experience in administering Active Directory, Office 365, and network monitoring tools.
Experience with Windows Servers including SQL/DNS/DHCP
Skills:
Strong technical skills in networking and IT infrastructure.
Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
Proficient in creating documentation and managing multiple projects simultaneously.
Strong communication skills and a customer-focused approach.
Compensation:
The hourly pay range for this position is $35.00 - $50.00. Please note this position is non-exempt and therefore eligible for overtime, which will be paid in addition to the published base salary range.
