Nautilus Subsidiary, Inc. in San Carlos California seeks Development Engineer II.
Responsibilities: Responsible for instrument testing including designing and evaluating electro-mechanical, fluidic, thermal, and optical subsystems, scripting of controls, test fixtures, and test system/subsystem prototypes. Duties include: collaborating with cross-functional teams to define requirements and criteria for system and subsystems tests and create meaningful, sensitive, and repeatable test plans; supporting design decisions with clearly documented and compelling engineering analysis; providing documentation and training for the transfer of design, assembly, alignment, and troubleshooting of test fixtures to internal departments; identifying, tracking, and isolating root causes of issues and implementing corrective actions; and other duties as assigned. Salary Range: $95K - $105K.
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Systems Engineering, or related field (or foreign equivalent).
Requirements: Eighteen (18) months experience in the job offered or related position; eighteen (18) months of experience designing engineering solutions and performing related analysis; eighteen (18) months of experience creating technical documentation for internal and/or external stakeholders; eighteen (18) months of experience resolving technical & quality issues; eighteen (18) months of experience leveraging knowledge of materials, components, and fabrication processes; and eighteen (18) months of experience collaborating with other engineering teams on design & optimization.
