Overview

We are a medicinal mushroom startup that believes in promoting mental health and wellness through fungi. We are fascinated with the art and science of creating mushroom products that are healthful for people and the planet.

Responsibilities

The Harvest Team Manager is responsible for overseeing and carrying out daily mushroom harvesting, trimming, and drying operations, from harvest to storage

Maintain a positive work environment conducive to cooperation, trust, and respect

Train and coach trim team members to enhance their trimming skills and efficiency

Recognize the do’s and don'ts of processing mushrooms (ex: no destruction of product)

Maintain an up-to-date harvest priority plan that is used daily to prioritize current batches through processing

One to two daily quality checks (harvested mush, smalls, waste)- give feedback, positive and negative to team members

Weigh and record yield with relevant notes

Ensure bags are refrigerated when the mushrooms are ready for harvest (no over or under done mushrooms)

Approve or deny time off requests, report no call no shows, excessive leaving early etc.

Ability to navigate difficult situations (Disciplinary actions)

Maintain supply availability (scissors, alcohol, paper towels, bins, etc.)

Collect and present data for leadership review

Monitor and maintain the optimal dryer environmental conditions

Keep all work areas tidy to promote a safe and functional work environment

Perform other duties as assigned (e.g. lead edible packaging projects)

Follow closing procedures of the shop

Qualifications

Able to stand or sit for 8 hours a day performing repetitive tasks (i.e. trimming mushrooms)

Cannabis trimming experience preferred

1+ years' previous management/supervisory experience

1+ years' experience working in a high-volume production facility or within a cannabis cultivation facility.

Ability to exercise initiative, problem-solving, and decision-making

Ability to communicate clearly, honestly, and effectively with staff and management in all situations

Ability to maintain high standards in a fast-paced, constantly evolving environment

Must be motivated to build a strong team through leadership and set an example to the rest of the team

High level of patience and flexibility

Pay Structure

$8.50 per bag completed (2 Flushes harvested)

$27 per hour for hourly-based tasks

Schedule:

32-40 hrs/ wk

8 hour shift

Weds-Sat
