Herbal Production Assistant at Luxury Skincare Company(Petaluma)
We have a full-time opening for an Herbal Skincare Production Assistant who loves plants/organic food. Must be detail oriented, possess a positive attitude, be patient, and enjoy spending your days working with your hands.
We are a rapidly growing, luxury organic skin care company based in Petaluma. We focus on locally farmed, biodynamic, raw ingredients, and our passion is making pure and effective skincare, made with real, locally sourced organic herbs and flowers. We are a small business and a small team - we feel like a family, enjoy what we do, and work very hard together. Our work environment is casual, but is also very fast-paced and professional.
This is a skincare product production assistant position whose primary goal is to support the production department and team. This position will spend the bulk of the day working with their hands: bottling product, set-up/clean-up, processing ingredients, and working with raw plant materials.
This is an amazing opportunity for any herbalist who wishes to learn more, or for a cook or baker who wants to do something different with those same skills, or someone who just enjoys working with plants and making plant medicine. This would also be a great fit for someone who loves nutrition, cooking/baking or precisely following recipes. It is important to note that we can get very busy, so we are seeking someone who can easily stay calm, centered, and focused if there is a lot of hustle and bustle around them.
Qualifications:
- Experience in herbalism, nutrition, or baking/cooking are helpful
- Calm and peaceful presence
- Extremely detail oriented
- Responsible, dependable, and reliable

- Ability to multi-task and prioritize work

- Excellent communication skills

- Maintaining a clean and sterile work environment at all times

- Bottle products
- Cleaning and labeling of finished product
- Side organizational; cleaning projects
- Processing plants and raw materials
