Start-up biotech company seeks a plant tissue culture specialist.
A successful candidate will have the following characteristics:
Laboratory experience is required, with proof of ability to make media, pour plates, and operate basic equipment like an autoclave, analytical balance, pH meter, pipettes, etc.
Working knowledge of basic chemistry required (e.g., molarity, pH, etc.)
Excellent sterile/aseptic technique
Willingness to roll up the sleeves and do whatever needs to be done. This is a small team, and everyone wears many hats. No “big company” bureaucracy here.
Great work ethic…combined with the ability to know when to recharge.
Willingness to say “yes”
Good sense of humor
Live close to Oakland…or at least be able to commute to Oakland everyday
