Position: Bouncer/Doorman
Location: The Mediterranean Bar, Aptos, CA
Shift: 9:00 PM – 2:00 AM Fri, Sat, Holidays
Compensation: Competitive, based on experience
The Mediterranean Bar in Aptos is looking for a responsible, professional, and experienced bouncer/doorman to maintain a safe and welcoming atmosphere for our guests and staff.
Responsibilities:
Check IDs and enforce age restrictions for entry
Monitor the door and control guest entry to ensure capacity limits
De-escalate situations and remove unruly patrons if necessary
Maintain a visible presence and keep an eye on the crowd
Ensure compliance with bar policies and local regulations
Occasionally assist bartenders with stocking and other small tasks
Requirements:
Prior experience as a bouncer, security personnel, or similar role
Strong situational awareness and ability to de-escalate conflicts professionally
Must provide references from previous security or hospitality roles
Ability to handle physical confrontations if necessary
Excellent communication and customer service skills
Must be at least 21 years old
