Cafe du Nord is looking for venue staff to join our close knit team. This legendary music venue and event space is located on Market Street in San Francisco, CA. Over the years, Cafe du Nord has hosted bands like Andrew WK, Beach House, Blink 182, Bon Iver, Spoon, St. Vincent, The Black Crowes, and Train. This position offers flexible scheduling and a window into the SF nightlife. Our ideal candidate is attentive, punctual, and engaged. This is a public facing role that will interact with a wide variety of people.
Responsibilities:
- Verifying Identification (18+ & 21+)
- Crowd Management & Ingress and Egress
- Ticket Verification & Line Management
- Clear & Concise Communication (Guests, Management, Radio)
- Descelation With Inebriated or Unruly Guests
Qualifications:
- 21 Years of Age or Older
- Experience In Hospitality Industry (Bars, Restaurants, Night Clubs)
- Experience Checking ID’s, Searching Bags, and Screening Guests.
- Exceptional Customer Service Skills: smile, welcoming attitude, ability to engage and make a great first impression on our guests with a focus on de escalation
- Ability to Work Indoors/Outdoors in All Weather Conditions
- Ability to Stand For Long Periods Of Time, Lift 25 lbs, Frequent Use of Stairs.
Preference for candidates with a guard card, military experience, or other security professionals.
Compensation:
$22/hr - Show Staff
$30/hr - Private Event Rate
