Job Summary:
The Millwork Estimator will be responsible for producing detailed and accurate estimates for custom millwork projects. This role involves evaluating architectural drawings, understanding client requirements, and collaborating with various departments to ensure accurate and competitive pricing.
Key Responsibilities:
Analyze Project Documents: Review blueprints, architectural drawings, specifications, and other documentation to understand the scope of work and project requirements.
Cost Estimation: Calculate the cost of materials, labor, and equipment needed for millwork projects. Develop detailed and itemized estimates.
Supplier and Vendor Coordination: Source and negotiate pricing with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain competitive rates.
Budgeting: Assist in creating project budgets and work within the financial constraints of the project.
Proposal Preparation: Prepare and submit detailed proposals and bid documents for potential projects.
Client Interaction: Communicate with clients to clarify project details and requirements. Provide professional advice on millwork materials, finishes, and methods. Meet with customers at job walks, which may require bringing a hardhat.
Project Tracking: Maintain accurate records of estimated vs. actual costs. Track changes in project scope and update estimates as necessary.
Collaboration: Work closely with project managers to ensure estimates align with project plans and estimates.
Quality Assurance: Ensure all estimates are accurate, thorough, and comply with industry standards and regulations.
Customer Service: Give quality service to all of our customers and maintain a respectable business relationship. Communicate frequently with customers to follow up on submitted bids.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor's degree in construction management, architecture, engineering, or a related field preferred.
Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in millwork estimating or a related field.
Technical Skills: Proficiency in estimating software -Strong computer skills and Microsoft Office Suite, BlueBeam, Project Pak

Knowledge: Strong understanding of millwork materials, manufacturing processes, and industry standards.
Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy and attention to detail in preparing estimates.
Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills for client interaction and proposal preparation.
Time Management: Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.
Problem-Solving: Proactive approach to identifying and solving estimating challenges.
Working Conditions: Work is primarily performed in an office setting with daily contact between
other employees and the public, although estimators may need to go out into the field for job walks.
Typical Physical Demands: Sitting, standing, driving to job walks while possibly sitting in traffic, and the ability to lift up to 30 lbs.
Hours: Full-time, exempt position (Salary), Monday-Friday with flexible hours.

-Salary: $100,000 to $115,000
-Quarterly Bonus (average of $30,000/year)
