Scale AI, Inc. in San Francisco, CA seeks a Data Scientist.
Responsibilities: Responsible for building Scale’s data science infrastructure for Gen AI products and driving insights that will lead to step-function improvements in operations. Duties include: building evaluation frameworks to measure large language models’ efficacy, ground truth dataset quality, and guiding product development roadmap; adapting statistical models to solve specific hard problems in fields of economics, price theory, and marketplace experimentation and predicting outcomes of interest; identifying business problems and management objectives that can be addressed through data analysis, and tackling business-critical questions by developing and testing hypotheses, and aiding evidence-based decision making; communicating with business stakeholders and providing insights and conclusions using statistical software; partnering with Product Managers, Data Engineers, Data Scientists, and Business Stakeholders to drive business decisions and product roadmaps and other duties as assigned. Salary range $160K - $200K. Employee may be stationed anywhere in the continental U.S., but will report to headquarters in San Francisco, California.
Education: Master’s degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Information Science, or closely related technical field (or foreign equivalent).
Requirements: 2 years of experience in the job offered or related position; 2 years of experience working with SQL, R, Python, SAS or similar scientific computing languages; 2 years of experience creating and using advanced machine learning algorithms and statistical inference models; 2 years of experience devising internal metrics and diagnosing data inconsistencies; and 2 years of experience developing actionable data-driven business insights in collaboration with cross-functional teams.
