Premier plaintiffs' firm seeks Senior Trial Support Specialist

Lieff Cabraser Heimann & Bernstein, LLP, a leading firm in plaintiffs’ class action and multidistrict complex litigation, seeks a motivated and experienced Senior Trial Support Specialist for its Litigation Support Department.

Based in San Francisco, this role requires a professional with in-court experience, adept in trial presentation software like On-Cue, and capable of extensive travel to assist attorneys nationwide. The Specialist will lead trial support, serve as the primary attorney liaison; possess a thorough understanding of courtroom technology, and courtroom etiquette. Proficiency in PowerPoint, Excel, Adobe Acrobat, and the Adobe Creative Suite is required. Proficiency in Relativity and knowledge in eDiscovery processes is preferred.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

- In-court experience with On-Cue or similar trial presentation programs

- Available and willing to travel and assist the firm’s attorneys in any courtroom in the United States as necessary

- Open to the opportunity to work overtime and on-call through the course of a trial until the trial’s completion

- Participate in department meetings and presentations; assist with training and mentoring of paralegals and associates

- Apply knowledge/thorough understanding of the methods, processes and requirements of litigation practice

- Will serve as the primary team lead and attorney liaison for the firm during trial proceedings

- Possesses comprehensive knowledge of courtroom technology (graphic design, video-editing) and adept at

troubleshooting technological issues as they arise. Will acquire skills in eDiscovery tasks and provide assistance with

the firm's eDiscovery projects during periods not allocated to trial work.May additionally assist in the creation of court

documents if necessary

- Will assist in designing and developing engaging presentations for attorney use during internal meetings and external

conference events

COMPUTER SKILLS

Proficiency with On-Cue or similar trial presentation programs, PowerPoint, Microsoft Excel, and Adobe acrobat is also desired. Familiarity with Adobe Premiere or the other Adobe Creative Suite applications is a plus.

SHIFT/WEEKLY SCHEDULE

Shift hours are 9:00 am to 5:00 pm, Monday through Friday. Position requires work outside of these regular hours as deemed necessary. Regular onsite attendance, according to Firm requirements, is required.

QUALIFICATIONS to perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

3-5 years of experience in electronic discovery data processing in a law firm setting.

Bachelor’s degree required. Understanding of legal procedure, rules of court, local rules, and knowledge of legal research resources, both computerized and manual; ability to manage information; supervision and training skills; excellent oral and written communication skills; strict attention to detail; strong analytical skills; ability to locate and maximize resources in and outside of firm; ability and willingness to work under tight time constraints and to solve problems independently and in a cost-effective manner.

Lieff Cabraser Heimann & Bernstein, LLP offers a competitive salary and benefits package and an opportunity to thrive in a dynamic firm environment. Annual salary range is $100,000 - $130,000 (depending on experience).
