Coefficient Works, Inc. in San Mateo, CA seeks a Software Engineer.
Responsibilities: Define product, design core architecture, and develop resilient, scalable systems from the ground up to accelerate the development and deployment of machine learning models. Duties include: developing complex and highly scalable user-centered web applications; owning projects end-to-end, from requirements, scoping, design to implementation; ensuring proper protocols are in place to rapidly rollout technical design specifications, upgrades and other new features; executing ongoing testing and analysis of current systems, including independent performance analysis, diagnosis, and troubleshooting; and other duties as assigned. Salary range: $207K - $227K. Hybrid telecommuting available but employee will be required to report to headquarters in San Mateo, CA.
Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or related field (or foreign equivalent).
Requirements: 5 years of experience in the job offered or related position; 5 years of experience using Python, JavaScript, Ruby, or similar modern, dynamic programming languages; 5 years of experience maintaining and working with large codebases on cross-functional teams; 5 years of experience designing and building distributed system architectures and APIs powering complex web applications; and 5 years of experience maintaining and monitoring production systems deployed on a major public cloud provider (e.g. Amazon Web Services, Google Cloud Platform, Azure).
