WARNING—This is NOT your everyday tennis academy.
Dear Coaches,
I'm Devin Nerenberg, the founder of The Morning Crew Tennis Academy. As a former D1 player and WTA hitting partner, I started my academy in 2021, inspired by the birth of my son, Liam. Simply put, The Morning Crew is a place where players of all levels and walks of life come to HAVE FUN and improve. With my white Labrador, Abby, leading the charge on court every session, we aim to create an environment where players (and coaches) can be themselves and enjoy getting better together. While we emphasize strong fundamentals and on-court habits, the ultimate goal of The Morning Crew is to use tennis as a vehicle for personal growth and life skills.
Over the past three years, the academy has experienced tremendous growth, more than doubling in size and attracting players from all over Silicon Valley and the Bay Area. As our client base expands, I'm looking for people who can help us grow further, allowing us to serve more players and elevate the academy to the next level.
WHERE DO WE NEED HELP?
Clinics: Right now, The Morning Crew has a large number of players participating in its clinics and after-school programs. We offer a range of classes, from beginner sessions to advanced classes with elite locally and nationally-ranked players. I’m looking for dedicated coaches to help expand these programs. As the academy grows, I want to get more organized so we can accommodate more players and start additional classes.
Private Lessons: There is also a high demand for private lessons. Many of the players attending clinics are seeking 1-on-1 coaching, and I simply can’t accommodate them all. I need an excellent coach to work with, someone who I can confidently send these players to.
Coach Requirements:
-High-level playing background (UTR 7-8 or above preferred).
-Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
-Comfortable coaching players of all ages and skill levels.
-Ability to lead a group and teach group classes.
-Availability to teach private lessons.
-Willingness to coach in a collaborative environment and adopt certain Morning Crew fundamental values.
Coach Duties:
-Co-coaching and/or leading group classes.
-Teaching private lessons.
In a nutshell, I'm looking for someone great who can help expand our programs, teach private lessons, and have fun working together while building something awesome. If this sounds like you—or if you know somebody who might be a great fit—please reach out to me directly at 650-438-1899.
Thanks for reading, and looking forward to connecting!
