Job Type: Part-Time (20-32 hours available)
Reports to: Spa Manager/Owner - Sara Adams
Compensation: $18.67 + tips w/ annual increase based on performance evaluation
We are seeking a passionate and skilled Licensed Esthetician specializing in hair removal services as a Sugarist. In this role, you will perform sugaring treatments—a natural and less painful method of hair removal—while providing exceptional client care. You’ll be responsible for delivering expert hair removal services using sugaring techniques, ensuring a positive experience for clients, and maintaining the cleanliness and hygiene of the treatment space.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform Sugaring Hair Removal Services: Provide high-quality sugaring hair removal services for various body areas (e.g., legs, arms, face, bikini, Brazilian).
Client Consultation: Conduct thorough consultations with clients to assess their skin type, hair growth patterns, and any sensitivities to determine the best approach for hair removal.
Sanitation & Safety: Adhere to all sanitation and hygiene protocols to ensure a clean and safe environment for each client.
Customer Experience: Deliver excellent customer service, making clients feel comfortable and cared for throughout their treatment.
Product Knowledge: Stay informed about the products and ingredients used in sugaring, including their benefits and how they can address specific skin or hair types.
Pre- and Post-Care Advice: Educate clients on pre-treatment preparations and post-treatment care to ensure optimal results and minimize potential skin irritation.
Maintain Equipment: Keep all sugaring tools and supplies clean, organized, and well-maintained.
Schedule Management: Manage appointment schedules efficiently, ensuring timely and smooth service for clients.
Professional Development: Stay current with trends, techniques, and advancements in hair removal and aesthetic practices.
Requirements:
Licensed Esthetician: Active and valid esthetician license in California
Specialization in Sugaring: At least one year of experience performing sugaring hair removal services.
In-Depth Knowledge: Strong understanding of hair removal techniques, especially sugaring, and knowledge of skin anatomy and hair growth cycles.
Client-Focused: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a focus on client satisfaction.
Attention to Detail: Precision in performing hair removal with minimal client discomfort.
Physical Stamina: Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive motions.
Team Player: Ability to work collaboratively while maintaining a positive and professional demeanor.
Preferred Qualifications:
Customer service experience
Sales experience in beauty or personal care products.
