We'll cut to the chase: We've taken on more business than we anticipated after we changed our business model from Solo/Duet/Dual audiobook productionto Multicast (think radio theatre meets audiobooks).
We now have 35 people in our small company, most of them are Voice Artists, others are Audio Editors and Mastering Engineers. We're steered by a Managing Partner and a CFO. We also have a Board of Advisors, two of whom are author clients who invested in our company. Imagine that. They must like what we're doing.
As you read this, we are completing a wildly creative and compelling Pitch Deck that will be presented to a carefully vetted roster of prospective Angel Investors in January. We're intending to raise three rounds between now and March: $100,000 $500,000 $1 mil so that we can scale.
We are looking for two people a CEO and a Director of Operations who are ENTREPRENEURIAL and understand the meaning of that term. If you're not sure, please read no further.
You do not have to have a background in audiobook production or the arts but either would sure would be helpful. Nevertheless, we will consider every professional overture that we receive. We are a highly collaborative group that has endured a few setbacks but have always rebounded and much better for it. That's one of our internal mantras: 'Make us better.'
If you land either position, we will initially do a Silicon Valley dotcom approach: we'll pay you a guaranteed percentage of the LLC. We will later negotiate your salary based on the funding that we have raised and will continuing raising in subsequent rounds. We're currently capping share allocation at 30% although our Business Attorney intends to launch a sister LLC for larger-ticket investment from one or more Accredited Angel Investors. We've already signed seven at the Pre-Seed Level.
We've created some very radical methodologies for marrying radio theatre to traditional audiobooks and have figured out how to make this accessible to the tens of thousands of Indie Authors out there who would love to have an Audible Originals level production value experience if they only could afford it.
