Trinity Presbyterian Church is a vibrant, family-oriented faith community in San Carlos. We’re looking for an audio professional to operate live sound reinforcement for worship services and occasional rehearsals, memorials and events in our sanctuary. This is a great opportunity for someone looking to build their experience in live sound.
In addition to being technically-minded, this person will be dependable, organized, diligent and work well with people. Providing live sound for our worship services includes working with worship leaders, choirs, instrumentalists and vocalists on Sunday mornings.
Equipment in our sanctuary includes a Yamaha QL5 digital mixing console, Rio 3224 Dante stage box, QSC mains loudspeakers, a variety of microphones and DIs, Sennheiser Evolution wireless systems, and a T-coil hearing loop. The service is live streamed each week which requires coordination between workers in each area (audio, video, graphics, social media). Services are very similar week-to-week, and saved console scenes reduce the workload and allow more focus on improving sound quality.
Job Responsibilities: Oversee all aspects of sound reinforcement and audio production for Sunday morning service, including:
Mix sound reinforcement (mains and monitors), and live stream audio during soundcheck and service
Power on and check sound system, replace wireless transmitter batteries, prepare headset microphone(s), deploy wired and wireless microphones and DIs for a variety of musical and speech sources
Turn on projectors and confidence monitor using remote controls
Power down, strike, properly store, close, and lock sound system and equipment
This is a permanent position with guaranteed compensation for 4-hours/week on Sunday between 8 am-12 noon. Additional hours arranged on an as needed basis. Hourly rate is commensurate with experience.
