Key Responsibilities:
- Diagnostic & Repair: Diagnose and repair a variety of mechanical and electrical issues on vehicles, including engines, transmissions, brakes, suspension, and electrical systems.
- Routine Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as oil changes, tire rotations, brake inspections, and fluid checks.
- Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of repairs, maintenance, parts, and labor for each job.
- Quality Assurance: Ensure all work meets the highest industry standards for safety, quality, and efficiency.
- Tools & Equipment: Use diagnostic tools, hand tools, and specialized equipment to perform repairs and inspections.
Qualifications:
- Experience: 1 year of experience as an auto mechanic or automotive technician.
- Technical Skills: Strong understanding of automotive systems and diagnostic procedures. Proficiency with both mechanical and electrical repairs is essential.
- Tools & Equipment: Must have own set of basic hand tools; advanced diagnostic tools provided by the shop.
- Problem-Solving: Strong diagnostic skills with the ability to troubleshoot and identify issues quickly.
- Attention to Detail: Ability to perform thorough and accurate repairs while ensuring the safety and functionality of vehicles.
- Work Ethic: Self-motivated, reliable, and able to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to lift and carry heavy parts, work in various positions, and handle physically demanding tasks.
Additional Skills (Preferred):
- 2-3 years of experience as an auto mechanic or automotive technician.
- Discuss repairs and maintenance with customers, providing clear explanations of required services and offering cost-effective solutions.
- Experience with hybrid and electric vehicles.
- Familiarity with the latest automotive diagnostic tools and software.
- Strong time management and organizational skills.
