Looking for an experienced cabinet maker to join our small dynamic, close knit, dedicated team of professionals that produce a high-quality custom casework at our shop in San Francisco.
Overview
A Cabinet Maker sets up and operates professional grade equipment to create custom casework from supplied CAD drawings.
Essential Job Functions:
Cut, shape, mill, and assemble wood and plywood articles. Set up and operate a variety of woodworking machines, such as saws, jointers, planers and shapers to surface, cut or shape lumber and to fabricate parts for wood products.
Verify dimensions or check the quality or fit of pieces to ensure adherence to specifications.
Attach parts or subassemblies together to form completed units, using glue, biscuits, dominoes, nails, screws, or clamps.
Match materials for color, grains, or textures, giving attention to knots or other features of the wood.
Prep surface to prepare articles for finishing.
Bore holes for insertion of screws or biscuits, by hand or using boring machines.
Load product for delivery.
Job Requirements:
A strong candidate for this position is someone who has at least ten years’ experience in the woodworking, professional finishing and/or casework/cabinetmaking.
Prolonged periods of standing, moving to station to station, loading, and bending.
May lift up to 80 lbs. and/or move up to 80 lbs.
Maintenance and cleaning of the facility.
Design - Knowledge of design techniques, tools, and principals involved in production of precision technical plans, shop drawings, and models.
COMPENSATION:
Our rate of pay depends squarely on the experience and skill you can perform at. We currently pay cabinetmakers in the range of $55-$70/ hr depending on ability. We offer PTO, medical, paid holidays etc. We are also fortunate to work on some pretty unique high-end residences.
