FTG Builders is a General Contractor based in Santa Clara, CA., specializing in Healthcare construction and higher education serving California and Arizona. OBJECTIVES OF THIS ROLE
Working in a team and doing commercial construction, concrete, demolition, and cement finish.
General labor work associated with concrete construction.
RESPOSIBILITIES AND DUTIES
Prepare worksites for concrete pour, backfill area with sub-grade, compact, and level.
Designing and building forms.
Setting up and tear down forms.
Proper concrete mixing.
Pouring concrete.
Using wire mesh to reinforce the concrete.
Rebar installation.
Spreading and smoothing concrete.
Finish cement.
Molding expansion joints and edges.
Concrete demo hand work.
Using stains or colors to add the finishing touch.
Adding small stones or other materials for decoration.
Applying waterproofing and sealant to protect the concrete work.
Monitoring the material to ensure it hardens to a durable finish.
Loading and unloading materials, supplies, and work tools to and from trucks and the construction site.
Operation of hand tools (jackhammer, vibrator, saws, drills)
Safe work practices.
Maintain a safe and clean work environment.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
High school diploma.
Ability to perform strenuous tasks with your hands.
Ability to kneel, bend, and lift heavy materials.
Must be a self-starter with good judgement and good decision-making skills.
Willing to assist others and share knowledge with team members.
Willing to learn new skills and apply them with supportive oversight.
3-10 years’ experience in the construction industry.
Have reliable transportation
Valid driver’s license
Must be authorized to work in the United States.
