Custom Cabinet Maker / Journeyman (Full-Time)

Roth Wood Products, a family-owned custom cabinet shop with over 50 years of expertise in crafting high-quality cabinetry, is seeking an Experienced Custom Cabinet Maker / Journeyman to join our team. We specialize in custom-built cabinetry for residential and commercial clients using premium materials and traditional craftsmanship. Our modified workweek gives you the benefit of a balanced schedule, working Monday through Thursday from 7:30 AM to 5:00 PM, and a shorter day on Friday from 7:30 AM to 11:30 AM, giving you more flexibility with your weekends.

Position Overview:

We are looking for a skilled cabinet maker with extensive experience in crafting custom cabinetry from start to finish. The ideal candidate will have a strong attention to detail, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

Key Responsibilities:

- Cabinet construction: Build and assemble custom cabinets, including cutting, shaping, and fitting parts to exact specifications.

- Reading CAD plans: Interpret detailed drawings and specifications to produce high-quality cabinetry.

- Material handling: Work with a variety of woods, veneers, and other materials to achieve the desired finish.

- Finishing: Sand, fit, and assemble completed pieces, ensuring flawless craftsmanship.

- Tool operation: Safely and proficiently operate all necessary machinery and tools, including table saws, routers, planers, and sanders.

- Problem-solving: Troubleshoot design challenges or custom requests and make necessary adjustments.

- Collaboration: Work closely with foremen, project managers, and other team members to ensure client satisfaction.

Requirements:

- Minimum 1 year of experience as a custom cabinet maker or journeyman-level craftsman.

- Strong understanding of carpentry techniques, woodworking machinery, and tools.

- Ability to read and interpret CAD drawings with attention to detail.

- Experience working with both traditional and modern cabinetry designs.

- Problem-solving skills and a willingness to adapt to custom requests.

- Strong time management and organizational skills.

- Positive attitude and the ability to follow directions from supervisors.

- Must be able to lift 75 lbs and handle physically demanding work.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Commensurate with experience, ranging from $25 - $35 per hour.
