PPM German Autowerk in Walnut Creek is searching for full-time automotive technicians and a Service Writer. We offer extremely competitive compensation and a full suite of benefits.
A qualified SERVICE WRITER candidate will have, a a minimum, the following qualities:
3+ years of service writing experience, preferably with Porsche or other German vehicles
Great written and verbal communication skills
A positive attitude and willingness to learn
A strong work ethic, a perfectionist attitude and a clean driving record
Service Writer responsibilities will include (but are not limited to):
Promptly greeting customers visiting or calling the shop
Listening to customers describe vehicle issues and asking follow-up questions to help diagnose
Compiling work estimates and communicating them to the customer
Answering customers’ questions regarding the nature of repairs and their costs
Entering customer information into a database to ensure up to date information
Tracking the progress of each job, ordering parts and communicating as needed
Accepting payment when the job is complete and filing paperwork as appropriate
A qualified AUTOMOTIVE TECHNICIAN will have 2+ years of experience with Porsche or Mercedes vehicles and the following:
a. Ability to perform a wide variety of routine automotive maintenance and services such as engine service, oil change, brake pad/rotor install, suspension alignment, etc.
b. Some diagnostic ability and experience is expected
c. Candidates must be intelligent and exhibit a strong desire to learn.
d. A strong work ethic, basic tools, a perfectionist attitude and a clean driving record.
