FIELD SERVICE TECHNICIAN AT MOBILITY CITY
We seek an energetic motivated individual with a great attitude and people skills to work as a Field Service Technician/Mechanic in our Milpitas/Santa Clara showroom to help us grow.
Mobility City is the leading provider of mobility products for physically impaired persons. Attitude is everything when you are dealing with customers, and when you are showing customers how to use our products or repairing products on service calls in the customer’s home. You have to be a good listener as well as a good explainer with a healthy dose of compassion.
Past applicants with HVAC experience, auto mechanics, industrial maintenance and/or commercial appliance maintenance have all made an easy transition to our mobility equipment repair field.
A few of the main duties of a Field Service Mechanic are:
Deliver, set up, demo products and train customers.
Establish an ongoing relationship with customers
Troubleshoot equipment problems and performing electro-mechanical repairs
Advise the customer on how to properly use the equipment
Work with elderly customers to diagnose and repair their mobility product(s)
Complete job orders documenting your work in detail.
Travel to customers in our company vehicle.
Keep yourself and your company vehicle safe.
Always maintain a professional appearance and positive attitude.
We require a current driver’s license, and a clean driving record.
Qualifications include:
You must be organized and able to fill out the Repair or Service Work Order forms.
You must be able to lift heavy items exceeding 50 pounds.
You must have a current driver’s license and a clean driving record as you will be driving a company van.
We will also perform a background check that must come back clean.
We prefer a high school diploma or GED.
We pay a salary ranging from $38,000 to $50,000 with commissions depending on experience. Other benefits may be available.
