A SF Bay Area construction company is looking for a Lead Journeyman Carpenter with over 5 years of experience. The Lead Carpenter will need to be able to read and interpret blueprints and be able to work and give direction independently, without supervision.
DUTIES:
- Mostly wood framing, in addition to other carpentry tasks
- See projects from demo to finish
- Drywall patching and installation
- Painting
- Putting together and installing kitchen cabinets and counters
- Redoing trim on stairs
- Minor electrical
- Minor plumbing
- Tile flooring & back-splash
- Kitchen and bathroom remodels
- Cover driving area of Monterey to Healdsburg (Greater SF Bay Area)
MUST HAVES:
- 5-7 years of residential carpentry experience
- Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical trades
- Ability to read blueprints
- Ability to measure/cut with precision
- Experience operating skill saw, chop saw, reciprocating saw, drills, nail guns
- Work independently
- Experience leading a team
- Full home renovations
- Excavation experience
- Able to work at heights (scissor lifts)
- Reliable, show up on time every day
- Own car required to drive to work sites
- Able to lift 80 lbs
- PPE: Hard hat, safety glasses, steel cap boots, gloves
- Tools: Levels, tape measure, drill, nail bar, screwdrivers, framing hammer, square, etc
JOB DETAILS:
- $36 p/h
- Typical work week M-F, from 7:30a-3:30p (4p)
- This a long term position
- Mileage expenses covered. We also pay you for your drive time
- Overtime available
