We are hiring for the position of an HVAC & boiler apprentice as well as journeymen. All positions are full time (40+ hours). Overtime is sometimes required. Most of our work is in San Francisco; some of our work is in Oakland. Our shop from which we dispatch is on Treasure Island in San Francisco.
You will have the opportunity, and be expected, to learn everything necessary to eventually become a craftsman mechanic, including:
How to cut, prepare and join water, gas and steam lines using iron, steel, copper and plastic materials,
Applicable codes and best practices concerning the installation of piping and appliances,
How to safely operate all manner of power tools, safety equipment and
Electrical basics and how to troubleshoot plumbing related electrical items, such as pump motors, water heater & steam boiler circuits, sensors and monitors
Requirements:
Driver's license that's been valid for past three (3) years,
Mechanical aptitude,
A strong work ethic and high physical and mental stamina,
Ability to work overtime when necessary,
Concern and commitment to fellow team members,
Willingness to attend regular class room instruction on installation codes and practices,
Willingness and interest to study aspects of the code and trade personally
