Job Title: Maintenance Mechanic
Location: San Jose, CA
Employment Type: Full-Time
Compensation: $80,000 - $83,000 per year
Our San Jose client, a floor manufacturing company, is hiring a Maintenance Mechanic for a direct hire opportunity.
Key Responsibilities:
Monitor and troubleshoot plant equipment to minimize downtime and improve efficiency.
Conduct machinery inspections, diagnose issues, and document/report findings.
Repair, replace, and assess mechanical equipment (motors, valves, etc.).
Perform regular maintenance tasks such as lubrication, temperature checks, and safety audits.
Read and interpret blueprints and drawings.
Ensure compliance with safety and housekeeping standards.
Assist with preventative maintenance, filter changes, and diagnostics.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand/walk for long periods.
Capable of maneuvering around machinery, bending, stooping, and climbing stairs.
Exposure to mechanical parts, fumes, heat, and loud noise.
Requirements:
High school diploma or GED (Associate’s degree in industrial maintenance or related field preferred).
Minimum 3 years of industrial maintenance experience.
Proficient with hand and power tools, welding, and forklift operation.
Strong problem-solving skills, ability to work independently, and follow safety procedures.
Excellent communication, teamwork, and multitasking abilities.
