Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Journeyman Drywall and Painting professional to join our contracting team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in all aspects of drywall installation, finishing, repairs, and professional painting. This role requires strong attention to detail, the ability to work independently or with a crew, and a commitment to delivering high-quality results on residential projects.
Responsibilities:
- Install drywall (hanging, taping, mudding, sanding, and finishing)
- Perform patchwork, texture application, and texture matching
- Interior and exterior painting (brush, roller, and spray applications)
- Repair damaged walls, ceilings, and surfaces
- Ensure all work meets company quality standards and project deadlines
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment
- Communicate effectively with team members, supervisors, and clients
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a drywall and painting journeyman
- Must own a full set of tools and equipment
- Must have a reliable vehicle and valid driver’s license
- Ability to read and follow plans, drawings, and specifications
- Strong work ethic and attention to detail
- Dependable, punctual, and able to work with minimal supervision
- Ability to lift 50+ lbs. and perform physical tasks as needed
