Major Responsibilities:
Under the direction of the Carpenter, Lead Carpenter, Superintendent, or Foreman the laborer position is responsible for assisting in the completion of tasks as directed. This role is an hourly wage role only that includes medical,dental,401k and a stipend for cell phone use after 90 days of unemployment is completed. Role is also required to clock in and out of work everyday via T-sheets.
1. Loading, unloading, and moving materials from within or near the construction site
2. Purchase materials and supplies
3. Move materials to or from storage or work sites
4. Selective demolition, concrete placement or flagging
5. Lifting heavy objects
6. Carry heavy supplies to and from work area
7. Cleaning work area, machines, or other equipment
8. Making simple repairs and adjustments to machinery or trucks
Requirements
1. Candidate must be legal to work in the US and fluent in English
2. Candidate must own a set of hand tools
3. Candidates must have a clean driving record and VALID California Driver's License
4. Although not required San Francisco residents are preferred due to all of the job sites being located in San Francisco
5. Candidate must have the ability to work with others, be a team player and be communicative with co-workers and supervisors
6. Willingness to learn new skill (some carpentry experience a plus)
7. Dependability and punctuality are crucial for showing up on time and completing assigned tasks efficiently.
