Lead Carpenter Foreman

A SF Bay area construction company looking for a motivated and skilled framing and finish carpenter foreman for high end remodeling projects that are mainly based in Sonoma with over 5 years’ experience. This is a year round, long term job opportunity. Requirements

- Must be able to read plans and do project layout

- Must have own tools

- Fluent in English [Spanish is a plus]

- Have reliable transportation

- Must have experience with work involving foundations, framing and finish environments

- Assist in estimating completion times and needed labor/ materials

- Strong work ethic.

- Problem solver

- Keep records of your time and materials used for each job

- Punctual, self-starter, capable of working with a team or working alone on individual tasks

- Perform various tasks critical for seeing a project from demo to final punch list

- Ability to follow directions and perform quality work

- Well-developed organization and communication skills

- Dependable and the ability to complete tasks with minimal supervision

- Ability to ensure General Contractor’s safety and quality standards are upheld

- Good oral communication skills will be helpful

Finish

- Window and door waterproof installation

- Putting together and installing kitchen cabinets and counters

- Possess all necessary hand tools and power tools

- Proven experience and knowledge in door installation, casework, molding, paneling, hardware and finishing large construction and remodeling projects [commercial, multifamily and residential]

Framing

- Rough framing foundation and framing.

- Building envelope waterproofing experience preferred

- Experience operating skill saw, chop saw, reciprocating saw, drills, nail guns

Minimum qualifications

- Residential Construction Experience – at least 5+ years of experience. [must provide accurate job references]

- Must be able to read and interpret blueprints

- Understand architectural and structural plans

- Ability to think ahead by performing accurate takeoffs and securing materials when necessary in a timely and efficient manner

Responsibilities

- be safety minded and be aware of Cal-OSHA requirements and regulations

- Reliable, focused and detail oriented

- Ability to help with management of subcontractors.
