As a key player in our dynamic and fast-paced environment, you’ll handle a variety of responsibilities—from diagnosing and repairing small to medium engines to assisting customers, setting up and troubleshooting equipment, and managing service requests and inventory. This is a high-impact role that supports the core operations of our business and keeps our customers coming back.
What You'll Do:
Diagnose and repair small to medium gas and diesel engines on a variety of equipment
Greet customers, assess service needs, and provide professional support
Troubleshoot mechanical issues and perform routine maintenance and setup
Maintain service records, inventory logs, and checklists
Ensure all work is completed safely and meets quality standards
Regularly lift and move equipment or parts weighing up to 50 pounds
What We’re Looking For:
Mechanical experience working with small and medium engines (mowers, generators, compact equipment, etc.)
Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple service requests
Comfortable interacting with customers and resolving issues in person or over the phone
Ability to work on your feet for extended periods with frequent bending and reaching
Commitment to safety and attention to detail

Classification: Non-Exempt
Job Type: Full Time
The pay range for this position is $22.00-$26.00 per hour, depending on experience.
The work schedule is Monday through Friday. Overtime may be required.
Paid 2 times a month (semi-monthly)
Paid time off earned per pay period based on months of service

In compliance with the State of California, Turf Star Inc. provides a reasonable range of minimum compensation for roles that may be hired in California. Actual compensation is influenced by a wide array of factors, including but not limited to
skill set, level of experience, and specific geographic area. For the State of California only, the pay range for this job is $23-$26.00 per hour.
