About Us

We are a growing concrete construction company with a diverse fleet of trucks, trailers, and heavy equipment. Our projects depend on reliable vehicles and machinery—we’re looking for a skilled Mechanic / Fleet Manager who can keep our fleet safe, compliant, and operating at peak performance.

Position Overview

This is a hands-on, leadership role. You’ll diagnose and repair everything from trucks to excavators, skid steers, and drilling rigs, while also managing preventative maintenance, inspections, parts inventory, and regulatory compliance. A Class A CDL is required.

Key Responsibilities

Diagnose, repair, and maintain fleet vehicles, trailers, and heavy equipment

Perform welding and fabrication repairs/modifications as needed

Perform and track preventative maintenance to minimize downtime

Ensure compliance with DOT, OSHA, and CARB (California Air Resources Board) regulations

Maintain detailed service records, inspection logs, and fleet reports

Manage parts inventory, vendor relationships, and repair budgets

Transport vehicles and equipment using company trucks (Class A CDL required)

Respond to emergency breakdowns and support crews onsite

Train drivers and operators on proper equipment care

Help develop and refine fleet management systems as the business grows

Qualifications

5+ years of experience as a mechanic (construction/heavy-equipment preferred)

Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) required

Strong understanding of diesel & gasoline engines, hydraulics, electrical systems

Welding and fabrication experience for heavy equipment and vehicle repairs

Familiarity with CARB compliance requirements for trucks and equipment

Heavy equipment troubleshooting: excavators, skid steers, drilling rigs, etc.

Fleet management, recordkeeping, and compliance experience

Cost-conscious mindset with vendor management savvy

Excellent problem-solving skills; ability to work independently

Flexibility for fieldwork and after-hours support
