Are you a painter ready to do a wider variety of things? Interested in learning building systems like heating, ventilation, plumbing, and more? We are looking for experienced painters, with attention to detail and cleanliness, to join our in-house facilities team.

Work in one primary location - a high end coworking space in Mountain View with life science building systems. We tackle a lot of painting, but a typical week might also include moving equipment, light electrical, cleaning, drywall, framing, and much more.

We have over 100 private spaces that are rented by over 60 client companies and our staff is the team they rely on for everything from hanging a shelf to moving a tank of liquid nitrogen.

Facilities Technician Primary Responsibilities:

Provide facilities support to maintain laboratories, office space and common areas of the building.

Shadow our Facilities Technicians on building maintenance and repairs, including but not limited to electrical, mechanical, refrigeration, HVAC and painting.

Maintain safety related equipment (fire extinguishers, eye washes, etc.) and escalate concerns to management.

Assist with equipment moving and seismic strapping.

Receive packages and pallets on our loading dock.

Must have reliable transportation as we do some work off-site.

Sweeping, mopping and other general cleaning.

Research and source replacement parts and building materials as necessary.

Order, unload, and stock general supplies as needed.

Always work within safety guidelines.

Interact and communicate with clients on a regular basis.

Assist with repair functions such as flooring repairs, drywall patching and painting, hardware installation, plumbing repairs and more.

Perform other related duties as required.

Qualifications/Requirements/Skills:

High school diploma or equivalent.

Ability to lift 50 lbs. and assist with moving heavy furniture and equipment in excess of 50lbs. using dollies, hoists and other devices.

Basic computer skills required.

Customer service oriented.

Flexible; ability to adapt to changing priorities.

Proficient communication skills (verbal, interpersonal, listening).

Time management ability to prioritize and multi-task.

Team-oriented.

Comfortable climbing ladders.

Ability to read a tape measure required.

Knowledge and familiarity with basic hand tools.

Willingness to learn about building systems and construction methods.
