Position Summary
A Rebar Worker, also known as a reinforcing iron worker or rodbuster, is responsible for installing steel reinforcement bars (rebar) in concrete structures to enhance their strength and durability. This involves cutting and bending rebar to specific shapes, and securing it within concrete forms using various tools and techniques.
In this role, you will be responsible for the fabrication and installation of rebar used in various concrete structures, ensuring structural integrity and compliance with project specifications. Your expertise will play a crucial role in the successful completion of our construction projects.
Specific Duties
Fabricate rebar according to specifications, including cutting, bending, and tying rebar into place
Install rebar in concrete forms, ensuring proper alignment and secure fastening
Collaborate with other construction team members to coordinate tasks and ensure timely project completion
Conduct quality checks on rebar installations to verify compliance with safety and engineering standards
Maintain a clean and organized work environment to promote safety and efficiency
Qualifications / Requirements
Required:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in rebar installation or related construction work.
Strong understanding of rebar fabrication and installation techniques.
Preferred:
Experience with various rebar tools and equipment.
Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices in construction environments.
Proficiency in using tools such as rebar cutters, benders, and tie wire.
Basic understanding of concrete mixing and pouring processes.
