Residential Construction Assistant (5 Years Experience)
We are a reputable residential construction company specializing in high-quality home builds and remodels. We are looking for a skilled and reliable Residential Construction Assistant to join our team and support day-to-day construction operations.
Position Overview:
The Residential Construction Assistant will work closely with the project manager and lead carpenter to help execute residential construction projects from start to finish. The ideal candidate has minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in residential building, is detail-oriented, safety-minded, and able to work well in a fast-paced jobsite environment.
Responsibilities:
Assist with framing, drywall, flooring, finish work, and general carpentry
Support jobsite preparation, material handling, and cleanup
Operate basic hand and power tools safely and efficiently
Follow project plans, instructions, and timelines
Coordinate with subcontractors and team members as needed
Maintain a clean and organized jobsite
Adhere to all safety policies and procedures
Perform other construction-related duties as required
Qualifications:
Minimum 5 years of experience in residential construction
Strong understanding of carpentry and building practices
Read, interpret, and implement architectural and structural plans
Comfortable using hand tools, power tools, and construction equipment
Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license, clean driving record
Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work outdoors in various conditions
Strong work ethic, punctuality, and attention to detail
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
