Job description:
We are looking for an experienced Residential Electrician seeking long term employment to undertake a variety of tasks relating to remodeling and rewiring residential electrical homes. Candidates must have at least four years of field experience in residential wiring and troubleshooting. Your job will involve installing electrical wiring, fixtures and panels in homes, troubleshooting, service upgrades and service calls. Candidates must be able to work in a small team environment. Job site cleanliness, organization and safety are a must. Long term job seekers only. Primary work is in the Oakland/Berkeley area.
Responsibilities:
Must have your own tools and reliable transportation. Install fixtures and equipment. Install safety and distribution components (e.g. switches, lighting, circuit-breaker panels etc.) Candidate must be able to open boxes for receptacles, switches, lights, etc. while not creating unnecessary damage to customers walls, floors, or ceilings. Perform effective troubleshooting to identify hazards or malfunctions and identify needed repairs.
Skills:
Demonstrable ability to use electrical and hand tools (e.g. wire strippers, voltmeter etc.) Must be able to view a work order and know what materials will be needed to get the job done. Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving ability. Common sense and good judgement are imperative. Excellent physical condition and flexibility to work long shifts and in tight spaces.
Job Type: Full-time (40-50 hours / Monday through Thursday)
Pay: $30 - $40 per hour (depending on experience)
