Job Summary:
The Shop Mechanic will be responsible for inspecting, maintaining, and repairing vehicles and equipment in a shop setting. The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical background, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
Responsibilities:
Perform routine maintenance on company equipment (e.g., oil changes, brakes, tires)
Diagnose mechanical issues and execute repairs on trucks, trailers, and heavy equipment
Maintain accurate records of services and repairs
Ensure all work complies with safety and environmental regulations
Operate tools, equipment, and machinery safely and effectively
Keep the shop clean and organized
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent (technical training a plus)
2+ years of experience as a mechanic (diesel or heavy equipment preferred)
Knowledge of hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical systems
Ability to use diagnostic tools and read schematics
Valid driver’s license (CDL a plus)
Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for long periods
