Job Posting: Skilled Remodel Journeyman
Location: Santa Rosa and North Bay area
Job Type: As needed with Full Time possibility
We are seeking a highly skilled and versatile Remodel Journeyman to join our growing team. This individual must be capable and comfortable with a variety of tasks across multiple trades. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in residential remodeling, with proficiency in electrical, plumbing, drywall, painting, tile work, framing, and flooring.
Key Responsibilities:
Electrical Work:
Replace outlets, extend circuits, and install or replace electrical fixtures.
Perform other basic electrical work in residential remodels with a focus on safety and code compliance.
Plumbing Work:
Replace sinks, faucets, water heaters, toilets, and other plumbing fixtures.
Cut water supply lines, replace shower valves, valve stops, and inline valves.
Perform general plumbing repairs as needed.
Drywall Work:
Repair holes and damage in drywall, remove and replace drywall sheets.
Patch, tape, and texture walls to prepare for finishing.
Work in both small and large areas.
Painting:
Apply interior and exterior paints using spray rigs, rollers, and brushes.
Paint trim, doors, and other smaller details.
Sand, seal, and finish decks and fences to a high standard.
Tile Work:
Remove and install tile in showers, kitchens, bathrooms, and other areas.
Install Hardi board and apply waterproofing methods.
Work with stone, ceramic, mosaic, and porcelain tile, ensuring high-quality, precise installations.
Framing Work:
Remove and replace framing when required, and ensure structural integrity.
Build and repair fences, decks, and exterior trims.
Replace doors and frames, install siding, and reinforce framing as needed.
Perform precise measurements and cuts for accurate framing layouts.
Flooring Work:
Remove and replace hardwood, vinyl, and snap-together flooring.
Cut, trim, sand, stain, and polish flooring to ensure a finished product that meets quality standards.
Layout flooring for a professional, seamless finish.
Required Qualifications:
Proven experience (at least 5 years) in residential remodeling.
Expertise in multiple trades, including electrical, plumbing, drywall, painting, tile work, framing, and flooring.
Strong attention to detail and quality of work.
Ability to lift objects (50lbs) regularly.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Reliable, punctual, and professional.
Own tools required for all tasks.
Knowledge of local building codes and safety regulations.
Preferred Qualifications:
Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
OSHA certifications or other safety training.
Experience with more advanced systems (e.g., HVAC, advanced plumbing) a plus.
