If you’re looking for a great place to work, this is it! We are hiring for a STAR Smog Tech at a Test Only shop in San Leandro. This is a full time position including some Saturdays (rarely but sometimes). We pay overtime and bonuses! If you have little experience please still apply, we have a very knowledgeable team that can help facilitate your learning experience. We also do DMV registrations, you can earn even more money performing this skill as well. Owner is not hard to get along with. Plenty of shop space to play with your own vehicle, shop hoist/car lift, basketball, bbq, Skateboard ramp and a great sound system, we like to have fun when we work! We are not a gas station. We have a service writer/cashier to help with explaining failures to customers to make your life easier.
Requirements: Smog Technician with a STAR score above .40 needed or NO score (considered).
Have a friendly/positive attitude toward customers (if not, don't apply).
Current valid drivers license.
Able to explain failures to customers, cashier, write-up work orders ect.
Good communication skills is important.
Able to speak Spanish is a big plus.
Ability to work with little supervision.
Be honest, dependable and punctual.
Hours are from 8:00-5:00pm 40hrs a week. Mon-Fri.(Some Saturdays)
