Simply Solar is hiring Solar Installers at all locations in California. As an Installer you are a vital member of our solar crew and company. As you develop a robust set of trade skills you will grow amazing career oppertunity in the solar or electrical field. Installers are responsible for working as a team with the Foreman and a Lead Installer to complete residential solar installation projects and support the final permitting process.As an Installer, you will:Work as part of a crew (3-4 workers) to complete solar installations safely, efficiently, and within quality standardsLayout and mount hardware on multiple roof typesSecure and wire modules with appropriate mounting hardwarePresent a positive image of Simply Solar to clientsAssemble all racking and solar array, properly seal all roof penetrations, and install all relative equipmentWork closely with lead/ crew members and take direction to complete projects within certain policies and proceduresThe installer will travel to client sites around the North Bay Area to meet with building inspectors for post-installation final inspections.Prepare completed solar systems for final inspectionTake pictures of necessary electrical panels, meters, documents, obstructions, and general propertyRecord technical corrections for our solar crews and electriciansRequired Skills:2+ years of solar experience, preferred but not requiredReliable and regular attendance with a reliable daily source of transportationAbility to read and interpret drawings, sketches, layouts, and wiring diagramsMust be comfortable with heights / on roofsThe ability to climb ladders and work at heights while managing heavy gear is a mustComfortable lifting up to 50 lbsFull range of mobility in the upper and lower bodyLocal to the area or willing to commute to the shop dailyStrong interpersonal and customer service skillsA valid driver’s license with a clean driving record requiredNice-to-Have Skills:ET CardCompensation/Benefits:$20 - $35 per hour depending on experienceMonthly bonuses for high-performing crewsHealth/Dental/Vision Insurance - 16 health plans available!$10,000 Life Insurance Policy - 100% paid by us!10 days PTO in your first year7 paid holidays per year401(k) planEmployee Assistance ProgramAnd more!About Simply Solar:At Simply Solar, we are dedicated to helping California communities adopt clean energy and achieve a brighter future.
