Position Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Wood Finisher to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of five years of experience in wood finishing. You will be responsible for applying various finishing techniques to our custom-made furniture pieces, ensuring each item meets our exacting standards of quality and aesthetic appeal.

Responsibilities:

Apply stains, paints, and clear finishes to wood surfaces to match approved samples.

Prepare wood surfaces for finishing by sanding, sealing, and ensuring proper surface smoothness.

Use hand tools, brushes, spray guns, and other equipment to achieve desired finishes.

Blend and mix finishes to match existing pieces or achieve specific color tones.

Inspect finished pieces for flaws and imperfections, and make necessary touch-ups or corrections.

Collaborate closely with other team members to ensure finished products meet design and quality standards.

Maintain a clean and organized workspace, including proper storage and maintenance of finishing materials and equipment.

Stay updated on industry trends, techniques, and materials related to wood finishing.

Qualifications:

Minimum of five years of professional experience in finishing.

Deep knowledge of wood types, grains, and their respective finishes.

Proficiency in with automotive and lacquer paints

Proficiency in applying stains, lacquers, oils, and other finishing products.

Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.

Attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality workmanship.

Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot finishing issues.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Physical stamina and dexterity required for extended periods of standing, bending, and lifting.
