About the job

Buestad is seeking a Construction Foreman for high-end residential projects. Our ideal candidate will have significant experience in high-quality residential construction with a proven track record of building and remodeling high-end residential projects on time and on budget.

Projects are primarily in the East Bay (Alameda & Contra Costa Counties). We also work on projects in Southern Marin County, Peninsula and South Bay areas.

Responsibilities

Directly lead employees while continuing to perform “bags on” carpentry work

Manage all aspects of the job site construction – including day-to-day scheduling, building inspection scheduling, material and subcontractor schedules, and construction details

Inspect work in progress to ensure that workmanship conforms to the Buestad high standards

Coordinates daily with Project Manager to ensure schedule, cost and work is on track/budget

Perform administrative duties (daily logs, progress photos, RFIs) and assist in PM reporting

Accurately prepare materials takeoffs and layouts, as required

Prepare/approve field employee time cards

Coordinate completion of all punch list items and efficient demobilization from job site

Maintain a clean, safe, and organized job site in compliance with OSHA regulations

Position Requirements

5+ years of prior Superintendent / Foreman level experience in the residential construction

Demonstration of high-end carpentry techniques and standards

Ability to positively lead and supervise construction crews

Good communication and ability to write/respond to RFI documents

Computer skills: Email, Procore (mobile app)

Excellent customer service skills with clients and architects

Knowledge of OSHA construction regulations

Well organized, highly motivated and detail oriented

Valid California drivers license and clean driving record

Full-time position (40 hours per week)

Compensation is $43.00 to $50.00 per hour based on experience. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, bonus plan, 401(k) and paid holidays.
