Job Summary:
Kraft’s Body Shop, a locally owned and operated Auto Body Repair Business in Santa Cruz, is seeking a professional and organized individual to join our team. We are a high- volume auto body shop looking for an Auto Body Detailer who will be responsible for cleaning and detailing vehicles before and after collision repair. This includes both interior and exterior cleaning, preparing vehicles for delivery, and ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, dependable, and has a strong work ethic. You must possess a positive attitude and be a good team player with the ability to take directions well and work independently.
Key Responsibilities:
Clean and detail vehicles after body repair, including washing, waxing, buffing, vacuuming, and interior wipe-down.
Inspect vehicles before and after detailing to ensure quality and completeness of work.
Remove debris, dirt, grease, and residue from vehicles using various cleaning agents, hand tools, and machines.
Apply protective finishes to painted surfaces, glass, and trim.
Assist technicians with masking, taping, or prepping vehicles when needed.
Maintain a clean and organized work area.
Report any damage, issues, or delays to the supervisor immediately.
Perform final quality checks prior to vehicle delivery.
Occasionally assist with lot organization and vehicle movement.
Follow all safety procedures and company policies.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent preferred
Previous experience in auto detailing or collision repair is a plus
Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
Strong attention to detail and pride in workmanship
Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
Capable of physical labor, including standing, bending, lifting up to 50 lbs., and working in various weather conditions
Work Environment:
Indoor/outdoor automotive repair facility
Exposure to chemicals, dust, noise, and fumes
You must wear appropriate PPE as required
