Job Duties include but are not limited to:
Arrange domestic and international transportation of all vehicles to and from
Provide information to carriers for pick-up and delivery
Maintain high levels of on time point-to-point deliveries
Coordinate with buyer or seller of vehicle on status of vehicle transportation
Communicate the type of transportation required and cost
Accept payment from customers on cost of transportation
Coordinate and maintain status of all vehicle movement with transportation companies and internal staff
Arrange, coordinate, and maintain status of all local test drives and drivers
Inventory all inbound and outbound parts and accessories for each vehicle
Complete all transportation paperwork, database, and files associated with all vehicle movement
Produce written documentation of the scope of work performed on each project. Involves interpreting technicians’ notes, confirming parts are correctly allocated to the project invoice, and reviewing the photo documentation.
Produce photographic record book by printing and sorting project photos into specific job tasks and arranging them in chronological order.
Download digital photo files from the technician’s cameras and sort them into the appropriate files.
Responsible for maintaining the accuracy of the data settings on technician’s cameras.
Produce DVD discs and Flicker files/links for project photos.
Produce operating instructions and lists of recommended fluids, services etc.
Obtain service records from previous owners/service shops.
Project Maintenance, Closing:
Generate and complete customer project reports of tasks performed
Identify, consolidate, and print vehicle photographs of tasks completed for customer reports
Qualifications:
Strong automotive repair and restoration knowledge required.
Ability to understand and write documents using standard automotive language.
Familiar with vehicle transportation, including DOT/FMCSA guidelines
Familiar with various trucks and trailers used in the automotive industry
Personable and communicates well with customers, vendors, and all levels of interdependent departments
Basic PC knowledge, including Microsoft Excel and Word
Basic photo editing (adding text boxes, pointer arrows, etc. to images).
Organized and detailed
Calm and works well under pressure
Positive attitude, good people skills
