Job Description – Equipment (intermodal) Control Coordinator

Waterfront Global is a San Francisco based privately held business. For over 40 years Waterfront has specialized in the management, leasing, and sales of shipping containers and intermodal equipment globally.

Job Role

The Equipment Control Coordinator plays a crucial role ensuring our business runs efficiently. This person will be responsible for all correspondence related to the activity of our equipment. She/he will be required to maintain data integrity within our specialized intermodal equipment leasing program in support of invoicing terms, inventory tracking, maintenance & repair cost, etc.

More specifically, this person will be responsible for:

Preparing monthly lease billing

Reviewing and validating vendors’ invoices

Tracking status of equipment repairs

Prepare and issue authorization for equipment pick up and return

Update daily equipment activity movement (inbound / outbound)

Reconcile monthly depot inventory

Organize and manage records of depot and lease contracts

Create reports and spreadsheets to track project data

Prepare weekly inventory report to sales team

Qualifications

The ideal candidate is a self-starter with excellent problem solving and analytical skills, and the commitment to see tasks through to completion. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required to be successful:

Proficiency with MS Excel and MS Word (Pivot Table, Vlookup, Excel Data Sorting)

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Multitasking and prioritizing between tasks

Good planning and organizational skills

Team player with strong attention to detail

Possess the ability to coordinate with vendors in an efficient and timely manner

Education and/or Experience

Bachelor’s degree preferred.

Experience in the marine equipment, logistics, or transportation leasing industry will be a plus but not essential.
