Company: DocSpot is a small digital health company that helps people find doctors, dentists, and therapists. Check out our service at https://www.docspot.com.

Role: This position is a generalist role and does not require any specialized educational or professional background. Over time, the individual filling this role will likely have significant influence on the product direction. The position does not correspond neatly with any traditional job label and is multi-faceted:

- Web research: One large part of this role involves researching healthcare concepts and institutions and organizing them into hierarchies and establishing other relationships between them. For example, one might translate these concepts into something our software can understand:

CABG is a type of a cardiac procedure that treats coronary artery disease, and a symptom of coronary artery disease is chest pain, also known as angina

Palo Alto Medical Foundation also known as PAMF is part of Sutter Health

- Data quality: The company indexes publicly available information about doctors and other providers, and part of this role is to review the information to ensure that it is correct, and to help build new data sets.

- Other: Other responsibilities include (but are not limited to) testing software and responding to support requests. Unfortunately, some incoming support requests can be rather rude, so be prepared to respond politely to angry people while upholding our policies.

We think that someone who is good at quality assurance, or a thoughtful and detailed administrative assistant, is likely to be a good fit. Many other backgrounds would also work well.
